Celery & Cucumber Juice

I love the freshness of cucumber and its soothing effect on body both internally as well as externally. This juice is part of my daily routine and I drink it everyday in evening when I am back from work and crave for some snack. And its super easy to make. I am not a big fan of “juice cleanse” and would never advise anyone to go for it. It is okay to enjoy fresh fruit juice occasionally. Vegetable juices, not strained are the best.

Why I thought of mixing these two ingredients?

I love celery and how it adds a unique taste to the juice. It is rich in fiber, abundant in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Cucumber is rich full of water and minerals. Both these ingredients provide vital nutrients to the body.

I have not removed skin of cucumber for juicing. Most of cucumbers that are sold in grocery markets are waxed. Please make sure you scrub and wash the cucumbers with warm/hot water prior using it.

Tips:

  1. You can add parsley, mint or coriander leaves for extra taste but be easy on these as celery has its unique taste too.
  2. Sometimes I add kiwi fruit to it.
  3. Please do not strain the juice.
